I follow on this: I am more than satisfied with the security team work!
This is really one of the main points which made me choose this distro.
Some other ones are social-contract, philosophy, seriousness, ...

On my side, I also try to contribute to Debian (many different ways:
promoting, testing, reporting, even giving free CDs sometimes, ...)
and I am not paid for it, like many real Debian-Developpers, AFAIK.

I think this is not about more/faster security but lack of information.
I can understand information delaying. But I would greatly appreciate
if I was also officially informed about this delay too! That's all! :)

And once again, many thanks to the security team!
My claim is only about cherry on the cake... :)
