Hmmm . . . you forgot, apt-get install cupsys-driver-gimpprint gunzip <driver>.gz cp driver /usr/share/cups/model I guess that is only if the proper driver isn't included with cups. also, I used lpadmin to configure the printer. I didn't even realize there was a web server listening on 631. Doh!! Oh, but it does ask for username and password. I suppose that's secure enough.
