[Please Cc: me when replying, I'm currently away from the site where I can read debian-sgml.]
Since it seems a lot of people have trouble with SGML, since there is <irony> very few documentation</irony> about a language which is supposed to ease the job of documenting, since FAQ are... frequent on this topic, I just wrote the future Debian SGML/XML HOWTO. The emphasis is on practical information: how to type and how to process SGML files. It is Debian-specific and intended that way: for any other Unix, I would have to double its size, just for compilation and installation instructions. The current version is beta. Please do not distribute it too widely. The HTML rendering is at <URL:http://www.debian.org/~bortz/SGML-HOWTO/howto.htm l>. Various files, for the curious, are at <URL:http://www.debian.org/~bortz/SG ML-HOWTO/>. I would specially appreciate: - speling fixes, since English is not my mother language. - more practical advices (an HOWTO on psgml, a jadetex internationalization guide, a jadetex customization guide, and so on) especially if it comes from a GPL-compatible source, so that I can shamelessly copy-and-paste it. -- http://www.debian.org/~bortz/
