Right before you press "y" to send the mail, press Esc, f (that's to press Esc, release, then press f), and mutt should then let you set the "From:" field. I'm not sure how to set it premanently, but I'm sure it's one of the options in your muttrc(5) file ... > moreover, how can I manage mailing list in mutt? > my email box is full of message from mailing list of > debian-chinese,debian-user-digest,gtk-list...etc..... Look for the "subscribe" options in the muttrc(5) man page. Also the online help in mutt can often give you clues about its functions. -- Roger So telnet://e-fever.org spacehunt at e-fever dot org SysOp, e-Fever BBS GnuPG 1024D/98FAA0AD F2C3 4136 8FB1 7502 0C0C 01B1 0E59 37AC 98FA A0AD -- | This message was re-posted from [email protected] | and converted from big5 to gb2312 by an automatic gateway.
