Actually, in the comparison Dave was making (Sun Blade 1500 to an Opteron based sever), SCSI probably isn't applicable as a Sun Blade 1500 ships with IDE drives by default.
Obviously if you are thinking later Sun Netra or Sun Fire models, then that's a whole different story.
