Wait for the new glibc in a few days (Christian?) : and then the new kernel package which will be uploaded at the same time.
The 2.1.127-kernel tree from ftp.kernel.org (which incorporates lots of the extra stuff that is on vger) should work fine. Though till the problems with bash/glibc on debian-sparc have been resolved, the system is not something I'd call 'workable'. -Remco
