All, We've got a Sun Sparc 5 sitting around and we've installed slink on it. So far so good. We'd like to hook up an external modem to one of the serial ports (back side of Sparc has two serial ports, A and B). I've tried it but couldn't get it to work. During bootup the configuration of the serial ports fails but according to earlier posts on the mailing list it doesn't affect whether the serial ports work or not.
setserial reports an unknown uart type and on intel boxes this means trouble so it this also true for Sparc boxes? Any help is appreciated, Lolke Bijlsma [EMAIL PROTECTED]
