No, postgres clearly triggers a *serious* bug with Ultra5s at least. Probably all sun4u architectures suffer from this. Could someone who is good at kernel debugging look into this and report to the kernel folks and/or the postgres folks? I suggest installing the postgresql-test package and running the test case.
