What's your TERM environment variable set to? If it's set to xterm-debian or something like that, then the Solaris box might not know what that means. You can either install the xterm-debian TERM definition on all your Solaris boxes, or just set your TERM variable to xterm when you log in. Of course, the problem may be something completely different. I don't use Solaris much, so I'm just guessing. Eric
