Which rev of 2.1 is it? On my 2.1r2 cd, I have to enter linux-2.2 at the linux (silo?) boot prompt. I wasn't able to successfully install Debian on our SS5's with the 2.0 kernel on the cd, but the 2.2.7 kernel worked fine.
