Vertical Lines w/ ZX FrameBuffer

I'm using the woody distribution with kernel 2.2.14 and the "leo" frame buffer.  Any time the frame buffer device is called upon, I get contrasting vertical lines covering the entire screen, about 1/4 inch apart.  This is present at the white SILO boot screen, the "tux" boot logo, and in X.  The consoles are flawless.  Any Ideas?  Wes Bowen
