Yes ! Sorry it was cat /proc/fb !
And yes the symlink was from /dev/fd to /dev/fd0 or /dev/fd1 depending on the 
xserver I wanted to test !
And again yes, I have a monitor hooked to both framebuffers.

The kernel is the 2.2.15 version ! (Debian 2.2) And the Xfree package versions 
are 3.3.6-6 for all the
xservers.
