Yes, Potato install will be a lot less of an headache to get up and running. And from memory (I have an IPX also, set up a /boot partition since I replaced the OEM drive with a 9GB -- no idea if the later IPX prom has the 1GB problem) you'll have to boot manually from silo the first time, then edit /etc/silo.conf (And I probably should move mine to /boot also)
