I just installed the Potato release on a sparcstation 5 and while the install seemed to go ok when it was done I could only log in on root and X wouldn't start up. I discovered that roots . directory didn't have +x so any nonprivliged user couldn't get in and then after I while I figured out not only was there no /dev/fb device but also mouse kbd all had no access to anything. Is this a know problem? or did the Install fail...
