Just an update: the sparcstation 1 worked, with the same sparc4cdm file that neither of my sparcstation 2's could use. I'm troubled by the fact that neither sparcstation 2 worked - oh, and the old OS (solaris, I think) comes up if I don't Stop-A, so the HW seems to be functional. Dave
