finally it works. remember my 'un-moveable mouse pointer'? duh! it was hardware problem actually. the PEX font error is not harmful, i am glad that i can just ignore it. on the other hand i noticed installing twm (together with other packages as suggested) is not enough [i was looking for basic things i guess - multiple terminal and cut&paste for my works]. this should be helpful for newcomers like me. thank you guys.
