I have a question. have you checked the keyboard connection? Make sure the keyboard cable is plugged in at both at the box and at the keyboard. If a Sparc system can't find the keyboard,it will log all input, and out put to the first serial port. When a hardware problem dose exist the system loges the message to the serial port. If all else fails connect a terminal to the serial port to and see what happens. Lee
