That's a well known bug, afaik there are two patchs somewhere on ultralinux.org (can't find the url in my bookmarks, sorry) but they are not really efficients. Basicaly they reset the card a few seconds after the timeout, so you don't have to reboot but you can't exchange a lot of data without a timeout....
