I digged a little deeper...the timing is ok. The only thing what didn't
work is the -f option. These commands sounds exactly the same:
beep -f 1
beep -f 19999
My machine
Sparcstation4 (MicroSPARC 110)
CS4231 Soundcard
kernel 2.2.20
TurboGX Framebuffer.
Debian unstable.
Maybe the people on the debian-sparc mailing can give some hints.

if I enter this on my x86 it sounds cool, on my sparc it sound very
bad...(probaly a timing problem?)
Please be a little bit more verbose. What do you mean with "bad"? I'm
sorry but I don't have a sparc station so please try to be as
descriptive as possible (remote testing on a developer machine isn't a
good idea for that tool ;).

I like to see a link to http://bugs.debian.org/<bug #> in the ack mails.
That is out of my scope and has nothing to do with this very bugreport
or the beep package in general. Please report this as a wishlist
bugreport against the bugs.debian.org pseudo package.
