Hi Ben, this was true, the CD was a CDRW which could not be read from my CDROM driver, so I have just burnt the mini-iso image again on a pure CDR. However it still does not work - stopping to <SILO speech> boot: Loading initial ramdisk.... Illegal instruction ok _ I think a problem very close to the one mentioned by M- Moretto as I can see in a previous mail in the archive. Is this coming from the image that contains something wrong? or from the system itself ? Thansk again, fred
