Using a fixed frequency screen with ATI MACH 64

Hello Folks
A friend of mine proposed me to give one old Workstation Monitor the SONY GDM 
1952. These monitor are 'fixed rate' and I Found from this link

that they are supposed to work with the ATI Mach 64 on PC. 
Has anyone here tryed one of this monitor on UltraSparc with the on board frame 
buffer ? 
The heavy beast weighs about 10 kgs, so I'd like to know more before probing my 
weak arms.
