Folks, How are the Gnome Packages maintained in sparc unstable? Right now gnome-core is dependant on gnome-session >= 2.4.1 which doesn't exist as a sparc package as far as I can tell.
Is Gnome known to be broken in sparc unstable? bridavis-u60:~# apt-get update Hit http://non-us.debian.org unstable/non-US/main Packages Hit http://ftp.us.debian.org unstable/main Packages Hit http://ftp.us.debian.org unstable/main Release Hit http://ftp.us.debian.org unstable/main Sources Hit http://ftp.us.debian.org unstable/main Release Hit http://non-us.debian.org unstable/non-US/main Release Get:1 http://non-us.debian.org unstable/non-US/main Sources [2928B] Get:2 http://non-us.debian.org unstable/non-US/main Release [91B] Fetched 3019B in 2m1s (25B/s) Reading Package Lists... This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that the package is simply not installable and a bug report against that package should be filed. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: gnome-core: Depends: gnome-applets (>= 2.4.0) but it is not going to be installed Depends: gnome-panel (>= 2.4.1) but it is not going to be installed Depends: gnome-session (>= 2.4.1) but 2.2.2-4 is to be installed Depends: file-roller (>= 2.4.1) but 2.4.0.1-1 is to be installed E: Broken packages bridavis-u60:~# apt-get install gnome-session Reading Package Lists...
