Nope, it does show .tgz and .tar.gz files here: http://people.spacelabs.nl/~admar/troep/file-rollor-open.png This is with an up to date unstable ultra sparc machine. BTW: only file-roller has an 'All archives' filter; gedit has an 'All Text files' filter and epiphany doesn't have a filter at all. Admar
