Hi, My linux kernel is 2.6.8 and I have no luck on making the on-board sound card of Ultra 5 works. I have tried the following steps - aptitude install alsa-base alsa-utils - modprobe snd-sun-cs4231 - alsaconf The alsaconf reported that there is no sound card installed but the dmesg shows SUNW,CS4231
