Dear listmembers, I am trying to build a more recent gcc on my old SuSE SPARC system. I can do so for 32 bit; however, when trying to build gcc-3.3 with 64 bit support for the kernel to replace the old (and crappy) egcs it always fails because libc.so for 64 bit is missing - this is what ld tells me. Is there anybody out there knowing whether there is a way to build gcc 3.3 (or so) 64 bit for kernel only without this libc? Sorry, I know I am somewhat off-topic, but I am curious - I have come so far now, but that's a real showstopper for me.
