I can't boot up from Debian's install CD and my hardware is Sun Fire V100 sparc. I have tried many verisons of Debian's install CD, include debian-31r3-sparc-binary-1.iso,debian-31r3-sparc-businesscard.iso,debian-31r3-sparc-netinst.iso, I also tried previous version, but failed. I have checked all the MD5SUM after download the iso. All the iso are OK. But when I boot up from CD-ROM, I got the following error messages.
ok show-disks a) /[EMAIL PROTECTED],0/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/cdrom b) /[EMAIL PROTECTED],0/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/disk c) /[EMAIL PROTECTED],0/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/SUNW,[EMAIL PROTECTED],8010 ok boot cdrom Sun Fire V100 (UltraSPARC-IIe 548MHz), No Keyboard OpenBoot 4.0, 512 MB memory installed, Serial #********. I always use solaris9 on this server and several months ago I successfully installed Gentoo on my sparc server. I'm really a newbie in Debian. I have searched google but didn't get the answer. Any help/enlightenment would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Debian%27s-install-CD-can%27t-boot-up-system-under-Sun-Sparc-platform-tf2257045.html#a6260628 Sent from the debian-sparc forum at Nabble.com. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
