Hello Debian-Sparc Developers and Users,

My name is Ted Havelka, Debian user and appreciator of older Sun architectures. I've been following the posts to this list regarding the dropping of support and development for Sparc32 ported Debian. Forgive my lack of education with this question, but what impact does this discontinued 32-bit development have on community-wide need for Sparc-32 systems?

As a volunteer at FreeGeek.org, I work with their small stream of incoming Sun hardware, assessing, cleaning up and readying for re-use as many Sun systems as my time permits. I've focused on the M-class machines -- IPX, LX, Classic and SS5/10/20 -- as fewer Ultras have come in as workable and complete. Should I not bother posting available 32-bit hardware to the Debian-sparc list?

Thanks,

- Ted
