Hi William. So what I posted isn't a patch. It is a binary build of the linux kernel with Max's patch applied. You can install it simply by downloading it and doing: dpkg -i linux-image-2.6.26murat-custom_murat001_sparc.deb If you want to use my build that's all you have to do, besides reboot. To build your own kernel.. is a bit complicated to go over in email. I recommend installing kernel-package and reading the documentation in /usr/share/doc/kernel-package/. Some of that is a bit outdated (the stuff about mod utils in the woody howto doesn't apply anymore), but it's a pretty comprehensive overview of how to build a kernel using make-kpkg. Feel free to do whatever you want with that deb file. Cheers, -- Jordan Bettis -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
