Frans, I got the image, burnt it and it gets me at the end into a menu which works. :-) As I already started to setup the server (using the 'console=...') I didn't want to wast those efforts. Therefore I digged out another HDD and tomorrow I will go through the full installation procedure again. I'll keep everyone posted and I'll even 'file' a installation report at the end. Thanks a lot, Klaus BTW, I noticed that with the 'broken' menu it offered me quite a lot of languages to install while with the 'fixed' menu I only get 'C' and 'English' as a choice.
