As a follow-up to my post on this yesterday, I've now got the Debian
system on NFS, so am able to send a complete log. It appears that
X is able to find the framebuffer, but not the driver for it.
Looking in /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers, there is a sunffb.drv.so
file, which I assume is the driver needed.
