2.6.38.2 vanilla compiled under squeeze is booting and running fine since around an hour here on a 480R. Also on 880 it is running with minor glitches so far. Thanks to all the sparc linux people for this good release. For the debian sparc list: Hoping that wheezy will get a 2.6.38 kernel.
