I'm not sure exactly what causes this problem, but I would like to point out that even if we find the issue, it's unlikely that it's going to be fixed in Debian 6.0.x (squeeze). This is the current stable release, and the usual stable update policy is to allow only minimal conservative changes, like security updates and fixes for serious bugs/issues. Besides, with the next Debian's release (wheezy) approaching, it's unlikely that there will even be another stable update for squeeze. What I would suggest to you is to try the wheezy alpha1 Debian installer release, which can be found at http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/ This is based on a much newer kernel and will eventually become a released version of Debian installer for wheezy. If it does not work for your machine for some reason, there is still time to track the problem down and include a fix. After you tried that, please submit an installation report according to the instructions here (even if it was a complete success!): http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/i386/ch05s04.html#submit-bug Thanks. -- Jurij Smakov [email protected] Key: http://www.wooyd.org/pgpkey/ KeyID: C99E03CC -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
