How is that a chicken and egg solution when we have been building
sparc64 packages over the last years? We can create a bootable
sparc64 ISO image, we have all the tools we need.

All the sparc machines that people are running these days are
running a 64-bit kernel (uname -m is sparc64) and you can
simply create a sparc64 chroot on any sparcbox to build a sparc64
debian-installer and ISO images.
