That's unrelated.
It stills outputs through the display while being connected to the creator3d
card but only wants to stay in text mode.
You can't use sunffb, it's no longer part of Debian:

I don't even know if it's still part of X.Org upstream.
You will have to do some research what to use nowadays, but
I guess "fbdev" should work unless there are some Sun-specific
incompatibilities.
