Hi, i found the reason for my slow desktop display on the Sun Blade 100: it is using the fbdev driver.
The machine only has the onboard Ati Rage XL card, but is not using the xorg ati driver because it seems to be incomplete: xserver-xorg-video-mach64 is missing on the repository. It seems it is a dependency needed by xserver-xorg-video-ati to run. The package has been built for earlier releases of sparc64 as can be seen on snapshot.debian.org. Is it a build problem or is there another reason why it is missing? Can i use an older build from snapshot that is compatible with the current Xserver?
