It is resolved, I helped Dennis install via USB. Gave him a step-by-step guide for both USB and NFS. We walked through it together live. Both USB and NFS should work for him. A group of us also helped fix his blastwave program, on his blastwave irc channel. I enjoyed meeting all of them. Dennis is happy for now. Unsure when he will try Debian. We were all up pretty late across various time zones
I will retry the latest Solaris CBE, to see if I can install via NFS and USB. My install issue is different from what he experienced. He also has newer firmware installed on his system. Something I don’t have. On another note, will try your new kernel regarding IB asap. Good to know all this work is really making a difference for others.
