Hi, I also created a workaround for my minimal environment, just yesterday.
It involves patching /etc/acpi/powerbtn-acpi-support.sh (I use acpid/acpi-support-base for power events) and adding aliases for 'shutdown' and 'reboot': http://www.schreyben.de/Systemd_Haengende_SSH-Verbindungen_beim_Neustart Also seems to work well so far.
