I installed Debian potato on an SGI1450 today. Flawless except that the on
board ethernet controller was not detected (but it had two additional ethernet
interfaces).
Also I observed after rebooting that hiting enter when the root disc is
requested and still having the rescue disc in there, it is recognized that it
is the wrong disc. But inserting the root disc then and hitting enter leads to
a kernel panic.
