Upgrading woody from potato. I have lost my wvdial in new kernel-image 2-4-17 686 When i try to connect up the following appear
--> WvDial: Internet dialer version 1.42 --> Cannot open /dev/ttyS2: Input/output error I ran wvdialconf and the system has stopped looking at /dev/ttyS2 only looks at ttyS0 and ttyS1 Yet in the serial.conf file the following lines are at the bottom # #/dev/ttyS16 set_multiport port1 0x107 mask1 0xff match1 0 #/dev/ttyS16 set_multiport port2 0x147 mask2 0xff match2 0 /dev/ttyS0 uart 16550A port 0x03f8 irq 4 baud_base 115200 spd_normal skip_test /dev/ttyS1 uart 16550A port 0x02f8 irq 3 baud_base 115200 spd_normal skip_test /dev/ttyS2 uart 16550A port 0x03e8 irq 10 baud_base 115200 spd_normal skip_test My modem can be found at /dev/ttyS2 using irq 10. I had no problems until I upgraded kernel from 2.2.17 to 2.4.17. Now I cant connect up yet when I go back to kernel 2.2.17 I can connect up using /dev/ttyS2 irq10. Can anyone help!!!!!!! thanks in advance Bill -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
