The version of k3b in unstable supports the changes in the 2.6 kernel whichFYI, I just tried 2.6.9, and the problem is still there. Hopefully 2.6.10 will be better.

fixes some secuirty flaws. In fact I've found KDE 3.3 from unstable more stable
(faster and better also) than the version in sarge (KDE 3.2). I'm hoping the
Debian people will reconsider KDE 3.3 for entry into the sarge release.
