I'm sorry Greg. Yes I saw your reply. I really appreciate it. The latest mail I posted was an answer to the mail from Thomas Hood, an explanation to why I posted on the testinglist. I should have included that in the first mail, and for that I am truly sorry. About the issue at hand, did you get my reply, with the outputs of the commands you asked for? I placed the soundcard in another slot on the motherboard. It turned out to help some, I have sound when using Totem, but thats the only program with sound. XMMS, Gaim or any other program are silent. I have tried 'apt-get install alsa-base alsa-oss' but this gave no results. If you don't have any idea I'll disappear.
