My friend just installed HAMM on a system with LS-120 disks. Apparently the installer program does not recognize a LS-120 as a floppy because it is an IDE device so it's special file is /dev/hdc (for instance). Also he said the installer program did not detect his fat32 file system as a mountable media for the install archives, but mount on the other console worked fine.
