It works for me: didn't recognise "Matrox Millenium" in my old xf86config but is fine otherwise. Ran XF86Setup - autodetected PS/2 mouse.
As far as ISO-8059-15 - Sun Solaris has it: if I could install it on this machine, I could tell you. Should be covered in the latest release of X11. I'm not sure where the Euro symbol should be now on a "standard" 104 key keyboard. Don't know what you mean about French stuff - can you be more clear ??
