I am planning on doing an upgrade now because of new hardware I got that is only supported with X Windows 3.3.3. I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction to get information on the following or have it answered here.
I noticed quite a few things that I use going to be removed. In X Windows I currently use fvwm2. With perl it looks a mess and if I were to upgrade it removes mysql dbi interface which I use currently. Also with MySQL there are conflicts between mysql-client and mysql-base, it has set base for remove. What would be a wise course of action?
