Hi, The CD images for all archs (except powerpc) are available via rsync here:
cdimage.debian.org::potato_test-cycle-3/ so let the mirroring commence. Please use the pseudo-image kit if at all possible (http://cdimage.debian.org/~costar/pseudo-image-kit/) Also, if you've got a nearer mirror, please use it -- this may help: http://cdimage.debian.org/potato_pre.html BTW cdimage.debian.org is in the UK. There are 4 CDs per set, because there are two versions of each #1 CD. The same goes for the source set. So in the i366 area we have: drwxr-xr-x 4096 2000/07/25 17:41:30 i386 -rw-r--r-- 214 2000/07/25 17:40:54 i386/MD5SUMS -rw-r--r-- 87003 2000/07/25 17:41:05 i386/potato-i386-1.list -rw-r--r-- 658878464 2000/07/25 17:22:42 i386/potato-i386-1.raw -rw-r--r-- 90740 2000/07/25 17:41:17 i386/potato-i386-1_NONUS.list -rw-r--r-- 670199808 2000/07/25 17:26:46 i386/potato-i386-1_NONUS.raw -rw-r--r-- 115476 2000/07/25 17:41:30 i386/potato-i386-2.list -rw-r--r-- 673120256 2000/07/25 17:30:33 i386/potato-i386-2.raw -rw-r--r-- 66137 2000/07/25 17:41:37 i386/potato-i386-3.list -rw-r--r-- 526843904 2000/07/25 17:33:52 i386/potato-i386-3.raw The .list files are used by the pseudo-image kit to speed downloads, the 1_NONUS.raw image is the #1CD including non-US/main, and the 1.raw image is the US exportable version of the same thing. If you're outside the US, you may want to skip the #1 CDs (in order to save space/bandwidth), and just get the 1_NONUS ones, whereas if your in the US you may want to skip the 1_NONUS ones (and if you don't, be aware that re-exporting them may result in humourless people attaching crocodile clips to you softer tissues ;-) Something like: --exclude '*1.raw' or --exclude '*1_NONUS.raw' should do the trick Also, if you're going for both versions of a #1 CD, I'd imagine that downloading the ...1_NONUS.raw one first, copying it to the ...1.raw name and rsyncing the other one over that copy, will work rather well. If you're rsyncing over another image, a "-B 8192" option helps. Cheers, Phil. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
