I expected the iso to be a full install CD, since it wasn't I then expected to be able to install over the net. Oh well, you did say alpha. Anyway the natsemi module was in nic-modules-2.4.19-386-udeb, but the modprobe still failed. I could switch to the tty2 and insmod it, modprobe didn't work there either. After the reboot though I still couldn't connect. The info I entered in net-cfg-static didn't seem to go anywhere /etc/network/interfaces looked like it was set up for dhcp. I did install to the 1st drive on the promise this time, worked fine except when it ran lilo the default was this drive (hde) instead hda, I saw the lilo warning and figured out the naming scheme for drives then it worked fine. Wish list- 1. It would be nice to have a graceful exit option before running lilo to allow me to go back to an already installed dist and run lilo from there. 2.
