Ich benutze noch den xfstt f�r TrueType-Fonts
/etc/X11/XF86Config-4 unter anderem mit folgenden Eintr�gen:
FontPath "unix/:7101"
FontPath "unix/:7100"
FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType"
FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1"
#Modules Section
Load "xfs-tt"
Load "freetype"

Hast Du auch in ~/.scribusfont.rc den font-pfad eingestellt?

Versuche auch mal apt-get install ttf-commercial
