Hallo Liste, ich bekomme meine Riva TNT2 einfach nicht mit einem Nvidia Treiber zum laufen. Mit dem X eigenen nv geht es.
Ich habe den Nvidia Kernel nach der Anleitung [1] gebaut. Gabe keine Probs. Dann habe ich in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 den NVIDIA Treiber eingebunden und die anderen (dri GLCore) lt. Anleitung rausgenommen. XServer neu gestartet und es geht nicht. log: (WW) NVIDIA: Chipset "RIVA TNT2" in Device section "Card0" isn't valid for this driver (EE) No devices detected. Ich habe mal die log und die conf auf meinen Webspace geladen. Mit Nvidia http://www.eids.de/XFree86.0.nvidia.log Ohne Nvidia http://www.eids.de/XFree86.0.log Die conf. http://www.eids.de/XF86Config-4 Bei "Ohne Nvidia" http://www.eids.de/XFree86.0.log f�llt mir halt nur (EE) Failed to initialize GLX extension (NVIDIA XFree86 driver not found) Es wird aber oben alles geladen.
