Cześć. Otrzymałem 8 serwerów produkcyjnych do administracji, skonfigurowanych przez kogoś innego. Chcę ustalić rozsądną politykę update/upgrade. Serwery są "wielousługowe" (Oracle, VMWare, JBoss, ...) na pojedynczej maszynie.
Jaka jest oficjalna polityka update/upgrade? Załóżmy, że mam te serwery na Etch-u, czy i w jakich warunkach/kiedy powinienem je upgrade-ować do Lenny-ego? Czy też jeżeli serwer jest stabilny powinienem go tak pozostawić i ewentualnie instalować tylko update-y bezpieczeństwa? Co sprawdza się w waszych przypadkach? Dzięki. What additional steps could be made? When should be dist-upgrade made? One one site I have read that Debian's policy is to use stable versions and only add security updates... what do you think?
