Como o Igor falou, se vc colocar no seu .bashrc a linha:
PATH="$PATH:."
n�o vai ter problema.
Mas aqui eu coloco uma pasta no meu $HOME/bin e adiciono ela ao PATH
assim:
PATH="$PATH:$HOME/bin"
